Application Cases of Evaporative CoolingTechnology in Vietnam

1.Case Name

Precision Temperature Control Retrofit Project for an Electronic Manufacturing Workshop in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam

2.Project Background

Bac Ninh Province is a key electronics manufacturing hub in Vietnam, where outdoor summer temperatures often reach 35–38°C. The workshop is dedicated to precision electronic component assembly and requires a stable indoor environment (temperature fluctuation ≤1°C, relative humidity 55%–65%). Vietnam faces periodic power shortages, and conventional central air conditioning systems are too energy-intensive and costly for the enterprise, which hinders stable production.

3. Technical Solution

A hybrid indirect and direct evaporative cooling system is adopted: four indirect evaporative cooling units are installed to pre-cool outdoor air and remove excess moisture; twelve direct evaporative air coolers further lower the supply air temperature. An intelligent PLC control system automatically adjusts operation based on real-time environmental data.

4. Implementation Effects

Environmental performance: Indoor temperature is maintained at 26–28°C, relative humidity at 58%–62%, fully meeting precision manufacturing requirements. The failure rate of high-temperature equipment dropped from 12% to below 2%.

Cost efficiency: Energy consumption is 55%–60% lower than that of traditional central air conditioning, saving approximately 420,000 RMB in electricity costs annually, with a payback period of only 8 months.

Productivity improvement: Labor productivity increased by 22%, and the product defect rate decreased by 1.5%.
